Data and software
The agency has online environmental mapping and databases websites for users to access.
The Digital Cadastral Database (DCDB) is essentially a computerised map of property boundaries and the related property description of all land parcels in Queensland. It is an ideal base for searching, planning and analysing land related information and is used by most local governments for these purposes.
Orthophotos are images resulting from the ortho-rectification of aerial photographs based on a digital terrain model or digital elevation model.
Topographic data on an area includes information on one or more of the following themes:
- relief—contours and spot heights
- culture—may include infrastructure such as roads, railways or buildings
- drainage—rivers, creeks, waterbodies
- vegetation—density and specific purpose areas
- transport—may include infrastructure such as roads and railways
- digital elevation model (DEM)
You can view Queensland’s 1:25 000 scale topographic line maps using Sunmap Digital Maps.
Web services
A web service is a software system that is accessible using an intranet or internet connection. Web services allow retrieval of data that the agency shares.
